4. Understanding Duties and Taxes

 

At WowNippon, our goal is to make your shopping experience as smooth and transparent as possible. For international orders, this includes being upfront about any applicable duties and taxes. Below is an overview of duties and taxes—please read this information carefully.

5. Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) – Default Shipping Method

 

Customer Responsibility:
All international orders are shipped using the Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) method by default. This means you, the customer, are responsible for paying any applicable customs duties, taxes, import fees, or brokerage charges imposed by your country’s customs authority.

 

Payment Upon Delivery:
These fees will be collected by the shipping carrier or local customs office at the time of delivery.

 

Consequences of Non-Payment:
If these charges are not paid, it may result in:

  • Delays in delivery

  • Additional storage or handling fees

  • The package being returned to our warehouse (with return shipping costs charged to you)

  • Possible confiscation or disposal of the parcel by customs

Important Note:
We are not responsible for any losses, delays, or additional costs arising from your refusal or failure to pay the required customs duties and taxes under the DDU shipping method.

 

6. Regarding Customs Declaration

 

It is the importer’s responsibility to be aware of and comply with their country’s import laws and regulations.

 

We strongly recommend contacting your local customs office for detailed information regarding applicable duties, taxes, and import requirements.

 

Please note that you may also be asked to provide additional documentation to facilitate customs clearance.

 

7. Cancellations

 

Unfortunately, once your order is placed, it cannot be cancelled, modified, or updated in any way, including changes to payment methods or shipping details. This is because we reserve and begin processing your items shortly after the order is placed.

 

However, if you’ve made an error or accidentally placed a duplicate order, you have a 1-Hour Grace Period to request a cancellation. After 60 minutes or once the order has been shipped, you will need to follow our returns process.
